Did you really think for once the Cubs would rise to the occasion and make a statement against the St. Louis Cardinals? Of course not, the Cubs did their customary no-show and were blanked by the Cardinals 3-0 at Wrigley Field (which resembled at pinball machine in the middle of Afghanistan!)
Big money free agent starter Jon Lester was ineffective and was yanked in the fifth inning. I think Dick Drott would have fared better tonight. I know it's just one game but the Cubs just never get it done in a big spot. Tonight was no different, Ho Hum. Maybe the genius Joe Maddon should hire another DJ!
