Cubs' manager Joe Maddon's bizarre batting order came back to bite him as the Cubs' had two bases loaded situations snuffed (due to Maddon's batting the lifetime 0-40 pitcher Jon Lester 8th.) The Cubs fell to the Padres 5-2, with big ticket free agent Lester remaining winless as a Cub.
