The Chicago Cubs are appearing to be the "same old Cubs" once again. The Cubs got off to a 5-0 first inning lead Monday night and of course they gave four of the runs back in the bottom of the inning. The Cubs would then only mount another 4 run lead only to have bullpen genius Joe Maddon's pen cough up the lead and let the Cardinals rub their sorry faces in it once again. It typical Cubs' fashion they got a meaningless home run in the 9th inning just to torture their fans a bit more. It was one of the worst Cub losses in recent memory.
