As good as the Cubs' bullpen was in 2014 under manager Rick Renteria it has been the polar opposite under manager Joe Maddon in 2015. Maddon's bullpen was been deplorable in 2015. Last night Maddon elected to pitch to Arizona's best hitter Paul Goldschmidt with a runner on second and was burned badly, when Goldschmidt blasted a game tying 2 run HR off Cub closer Hector Rondon. The Cubs would eventually lose the game in 13 innings.
